STUCK?
PROBABLY NOT FOR LONG.
Most answers are a scroll away. For the rest: Discord for fast eyes, a ticket for anything billing.
Q.01Is Scrollr free?
Yes. The free tier lets three widgets run at once. No account is required to download or look around; sign in to add live data widgets and sync settings. Uplink plans add more concurrent widgets from $6.67/mo.
Q.02Does it affect my computer's performance?
No. It's a small native app (Tauri, not Electron) that idles quietly and sips memory.
Q.03Is my data private?
No ads or data sales. First-party product activity stays off until enabled. The website asks before using PostHog; limited desktop PostHog analytics are on by default and easy to turn off. Both exclude ticker contents. Turning either off stops new collection; account-linked PostHog history is submitted for deletion.
Q.04Do I need an account?
Not to download Scrollr or explore local utility widgets. Sign in to add live data widgets, sync settings across machines, or use an Uplink subscription.
Q.05What platforms are supported?
macOS (Apple Silicon), Windows (x64), and Linux (AppImage, .deb, .rpm). Multi-monitor aware on all three.
Q.06Can I customize the bar?
Twenty palettes, top or bottom of any monitor, speed and density controls, and per-widget settings.
Q.07How do I update the app?
Scrollr checks GitHub Releases and updates in place. New widgets need no update at all. They ship server-side.
Q.08How does live data work?
Game scores, prices, and odds stream over a realtime connection; feeds refresh on a fast poll. No refresh button anywhere.
